Famous eating: Butao ramen

This cute little store is located at the bottom of Lan Kwai Fong an only serves 200 bowls of ramen a day.

There is only about 12 seats and during busy meal times, you could be waiting up to an hour for a simple bowl of ramen. With that being said, it’s worth the wait.

Thankfully I didn’t have to wait in line since we went at around 5pm. You can choose what kind of ramen, how it’s cooked, how much oil, chilli, it’s like 車子麵 but Japanese. It’s about 75-100 HK dollars on average.

It was wonderful and I will definitely go back. Worth the wait and price.

Back in Hong Kong

I arrived back home two nights ago. It’s wonderful to see my family again but it’s a bit odd otherwise being back. I love this city and it was gorgeous yesterday but it’s a change in lifestyle and I’ve got to adapt to it again.

I do know that this summer is going to be different than before though. There will be less partying due to a busier schedule with work, keeping up a healthy lifestyle, spending time with family and learning to drive.

I will admit I do miss The Ninja Fort, Boston, and friends.

Healthy eating: meat, veggies & dessert

This is going to become to common meal in my diet. I got the chicken at Shaws, they come individually wrapped in a pack of 5. All you have to do us put a bit of oil on a pan, and put the chicken on for about 10 mins- flipping occasionally.

The veggies is a mixture of sweet corn kernel in a can and green peas with carrots in a large packet from china town super market.

The chocolate chip cookie is the icing on the cake. One of my favorite professors brought them for class and the best part is.. They’re vegan!

Like I said, healthy eating. It’s a lifestyle.

Quidditch Champions Series!

ImageIn about 6 hours I’ll be waking up to prepare for our last tournament and perhaps our most important tournament of the year. The description of the tournament is as such:

The 10 best teams from across the US will compete in Boston in front of thousands of spectators in the sport of real-life Quidditch, a rugby-dodgeball-tag hybrid inspired by the Harry Potter books. The games are co-sponsored with the Boston Cannons, Boston’s professional lacrosse team. A ticket to this event will get you into both the Quidditch Spring Champion Series and the Cannons’ first game of the season!

Emerson College Quidditch, my team, my family as shown in the photo below has been practicing hard and we are ready to play our very best and win. It’ll be bittersweet playing for the last time with this team for the year but it’s going to be a blast… win or lose.

It’ll be my first time watching professional lacrosse tomorrow night as well, I’m pretty stoked for it. Having a beer and watching a real sports game… we don’t really get to do that at all being at Emerson College.

Anyhow, it’ll be a good time and I really pray that nobody gets terribly injured tomorrow.
