A china experience

So how many chinese dim-sum places have you found that is cheap and good? Well today after lunch, two of my good friends and I went to this place in Wanchai right below the exibition hall. At first, when I went in, I thought it was a pretty cool place but my friend kept telling me she felt like she was in China. I didn’t understand until shortly after ordering. I looked around, the lighting, the people, the place, I started to feel like I was in China as well. China Opera started playing. Many old women wearing traditional chinese outfit walked by. Two mainland chinese started ballroom dancing right next to our table. I’ve got a picture of it but bluetooth is not on my side right now. On our way to leave, many old women dressed like a peacock walking in front of us. I could say in the end, that I definetly felt like I was in China.

Other than that, it was a damn good place. $62 each. Three People. And we ate 14 dishes. You have no idea how full we all were afterwards, the bus was right in front of us but we could not run to catch it. We would throw up if we tried running. Definetly had a good laugh. Next destination, ocean park.

Wildfire. Though I wasn’t that hungry, dinner was damn good. Partly because it was an early birthday celebration but the food was awesome. There is a new manager all the way from Canada, she was so kind to us. We were playing with my camara and she walked up and offered to help us take a picture. Ended up having a conversation with us.

I’m not really not this small. Well maybe. Don’t be fooled. Jarod and Dave. Thanks for dinner and the birthday celebration and the gifts. You guys are unique. You bring out the kindergarden side of me. But also the more mature side of me. It’s always different hanging out with you guys, the things we do and the things we say. Thanks for always being there and making me laugh!

It’s been an awesome weekend. Then comes another week of school. It’s going to be a long 5 days but hang in there. We’ll get through it and party it up next weekend again!

What would I do without?

It all started out with a note. Freaked us out a little bit. Okay.. maybe a little more than a little bit. We had no clue what was going on. We were freaking out in the morning, not knowing what to do or where to go. Finally figured things out.

Phone calls. Random women. Package. T-shirts. MTR Tag. Sloppy-ness. Cake. Mafia. Singing. Everyone-say-a-word-story. Moo. Cows. Laughing.

There are no words to describe how much I love you guys. Thanks for the surprise. Thank you so much. Thank you Dana and Kate for organizing it. Thank you for everyone who came. It worked out so well and I loved it. All of you guys are amazing!

These are the things that make friends so important, that makes me smile every day whether it’s good or bad. They remember what you say, what you want. No matter how much or how little you talk to them at school, they will always take time to plan amazing events like this.

I hope you have friends like these you can depend on and have the best time with! “Youdonotknowwhothisis2@yahoo.com” was right. Best night ever!

Cheers!

Greetings from the Other side…

Hello this is the reincarnation of Jo Lam. Well I am now at encounter and I am on my way to start worship. I will rocking to the smooths sounds of Dillon, Chris, Jon and Tim. And when I say smooth, I mean that my bowels will be shaking, and my heart will be thumping along to a new beat. Which is the beat of the bass drum. As long as Jon is playing, I will have a irregular heart beat. But seeing that is going to happen, in a church setting I know I am destined for a better place anyway.

I baked a cake this week, and for some reason I am really proud. It was really good eventhough it was one of those cakes that is made from a premade batter. Kinda just add water and watch it grow kinda deal. But I guess I am slowly being domesticated, and I am turing into a woman. Which is kinda scary if you think about it, cause I am so not normally the cooking type. A typical meal for me is sushi and some noodles that my maid makes.

Sigh, but life is good. I found a god topic for my English Research Paper, and it is so cool. We shall see what is going to happen with this paper, but I feel something is going to be good. It better be cause if it doesn’t turn out well.

Somebody gonna get a hurt real bad.

As You Were.

Last JRP free weekend.

This past weekend was my last JRP free weekend for a long time. It’s been a really good weekend. Another 5 day school week.. I’m not ready but time doesn’t stop because you want it to. Restating what I did would just sound boring, cause nobody would understand why it was so much fun. Hanging out with Jon was good. We’ve both got to set a date and spend the whole day together and just chill. Seeing another friend was great. I haven’t seen him in over a month and it was nice to talk and walk around. Look at some of his old photoshoots and relax with “Beulah”.

I will put up some pictures soon but Westlife was awesome. Spending time with Jessy and Shirley was the best. Talking and laughing. Girl’s night at Dana’s was good as well even though I went late and we just talked. I don’t talk much when I hang out with them but it’s a good laugh. Thanks Dana for having us over!

Another weekend, we will definetly have to hang out. Friday night we didn’t. Saturday  night we didn’t. I was looking forward to it but I am still looking forward to it as much as I was – even more perhaps.

Please pray for my helper who is now on her way back to the philipines. That she will get there safety and spend time with her mother who is sick and will be having an operation. I pray that God will be there with all of them through this and calm them. I pray that they all seek God and grow closer in the relationship at the same time because God is the healer. I cannot imagine how she feels, but I know she will stay strong through the Lord.

It’s been a busy weekend but was definetly worth it.

Cheers!
