Movie Trailer.

This is the result of switching from tech lit to Advance Video Production.

This is a three minute video that we had to produce at the beginning of this class. The first project we had to do, also the first video I had made since Tech class in Middle School. This video is suppose to portray how I feel in a particular place. The quality isn’t very good on youtube, but it’s do-able.

It might not be as good as movies some of you can make but I’m quite proud of it and I had a lot of fun making this trailor. A little last minute as well but I think it all works out in the end. The clips are from the original movie Radio. Radio is a sad but inspirational movie. I have twisted the plot in The Greatest Challenge to the opposite. It is no where near inspirational unless you think otherwise.

We’ve finally gotten through quarter three.

Relax and enjoy interim and Easter holidays, don’t let anyone else tell you so.

Let’s catch up! Joanne.

Wake up call?

I attended Flight tonight for the first time and I had a good time. Thanks Levina for bringing me. It was different from encounter because they started “Quest”, a new series where they play a dvd and it asks us questions and we are given a few minutes to discuss. It seemed very familiar to me, so I’m sure I’ve done it before, but it was refreshing nontheless.

One of the questions that we had to discuss was “Have you ever had a wake-up-call?” Meaning did anything dramatic ever happen  to you that made you ‘wake up’, made you realize everything that’s around you, or just something new in general.

It’s a tough question, and I’m afraid I can’t answer that for myself. In some ways, I wish something would happen in my life so I can get over my selfishness and wake myself up. Sometimes I feel like I’m just sleep walking through things. But I am so thankful that nothing major recently has happened to me or people I love and care about.

At some point or another in your life, you will receive a wake up call or perhaps you already had one. The question is are you ready for it? Are you ready to be transformed and changed?  What are you like after experiencing it? What’s different?
This long week is over. I think that was one of the longest and most stressful week for many of us. I am glad it’s over. Three more days of school and I am off getting ready for interim next Saturday , Cambodia.

Tim Hughes and Matt Redman are both coming to HK to perform, How exciting!

Hope this week didn’t treat you too bad.

Talk soon, Joanne.

Talents..

I helped out tonight at the mini Errol Lee concert at the gym tonight. I helped sell the merchandise and at the same time, just talked to Marie, Errol’s wife. I had a great time, especially watching all the little kids, lower primary kids to even some middle school kids jumping around and appreciating his music and his talent. A very different crowd than high school yesterday.

It brought a smile to my face just seeing the kids run towards him, asking him for a signature and just talk to him. God gave him a talent, and he has used it very well. To build character among people in the world, traveling, performing and speaking to different age groups.

It’s amazing what a tough and different life he’s grown up with, and yet, he has no hatred or plans to take revenge. He just has to heart to forgive and help with whatever he can to whoever he can.

His type of music might not be what some people like, but it makes me upset knowing that there are people who are making fun of him, calling him names, many different ways. His message is something we all need to hear and follow, no matter what age you are.

Encouraging. Caring. He makes us feel important, something we don’t always feel around us. What’s your talent? How are you going to use it?

He’s a great guy and he has a great and loving family. Hopefully sometime I will be able to meet them again and have coffee or something.

Good night. Joanne.

Rylynn..

Everytime I listen this song I’m speechless. I love the melody, I love the beat, it’s Awesome. One of these days, I’ll have to go out and get Andy Mckee’s cd.

Quote of the day: You know that silence is loud when all you hear is your heart.

We are pressed on every side by troubles, but not crushed and
broken.  We are perplexed because we don’t know he things
happen as they do, but we don’t give up and quit.  We are
hunted down, but God never abandons us.  We get knocked down
but we get up again and keep going. There bodies of ours are
constantly facing death just as Jesus did; so it is clear to all that
it is only the living Christ within (who keeps us safe)
	II Corinthians 4:8-10

We are all stressed out from school, from the end of the quarter, trying to catch up on missing work, final tests for the quarter. It is driving us crazy, but hang in there. Interim and Easter is just around the corner!

Talk soon, Joanne.

Flash to the future

Something strange happened to me this morning.

Have you ever saw something, like a scene or something, with people that made you imagine yourself in the same way in the future? I don’t know if I’m making much sense right now, but I hope you understand me.

I was walking just by school this morning, next to a kindergarten at Red hill Plaza and  it was just time for school for them so there were a bunch of parents with their kids. I’m not going to go into detail on here what was the flash to the future but it was strange. I saw something and I started to think about what it would be like in the future. What I would be like. Imagining myself in the “scene” that I saw.

Weird, but it made me smile.
