My first run at night

Basically, now that I intern Monday to Friday from 9-6, the only time I get to run is early in the morning before breakfast or late at night after dinner. I always end up too tired or too full after dinner to run but yesterday I decided I had to- no matter how tired I was. I knew it was worth it as soon as I started running… and here is why:

The weather has been pretty horrific the last few months, according to my parents, the last few months really. Frankly, the crappy weather has probably allowed most of us to enjoy the occasional blue skies even more than we normally do. The rain all day yesterday cleared up the skies at night just in time for me to take this shot of the Hong Kong skyline. This is taken from the Photosynth app on the iphone and edited with PS Express.

The run is getting easier and easier every time I do it. I’ve never been a fan of outdoor running but its growing on me. Somehow I think I’m burning more by running out in the heat and humidity of Hong Kong as well. It’s also quite entertaining running past investment bankers getting to work at 6:30 in the morning or off work at 10pm as well as all those well-dressed people going to Ozone on the 118th floor for drinks.

Anyhow, my plans got canceled tonight so maybe I’ll go for another run, or a weight-lift session. Maybe I’ll do both. After all, I will be on a junk boat trip tomorrow all day, drinking, eating and being lazy so I might as well work hard tonight.

  1. That’s so good running in hot and humid weather like Hong Kong’s! I’m going to see if I can do the same in the Philippines but only if someone will join me 🙂

    1. It is wonderful 🙂 I’m sure you can do the same in the Philippines and I’m sure it’ll be even more effective! Where in the Philippines are you exactly?

      1. I’ll be stationed in Quezon city but will work all around Metro Manila.

I think I can do it but I will need someone to join me, otherwise it gets boring and I’ll quit ;p
