HE never promised an easy life

The cost of following Jesus

57 As they were walking along the road, a man said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.”

58 Jesus replied, “Foxes have holes and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

59 He said to another man, “Follow me.”
But he replied, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”

60 Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.”

61 Still another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say good-by to my family.”

62 Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”

  1. This is the blog that I meant to be responding to when I wrote the comments, but somehow I got the words to the song which was with my previous comment. I am like the others who have written in response to your songs lyrics. I am in awe of how God can use us to contact each other to encourage and let us know we are all a part of His Creation, we are children of God, beloved, WOW! Your words on the front page of your YouTube account about making videos of the moments were just a part of my thoughts and prayers last night! I was saying how I wished we could have videos of these moments, and how it would be so wonderful to be able to walk into these memories from our own thoughts of them. Maybe this is what heaven will be like, where we are not limited by our physical bodies. Although there will be no sin in heaven because we will be under the sovereign will of God not as on earth. Thank you for helping to bring the Kingdom of God to earth with your videos and blogs. I am much older than you and really admire your enthusiasm for Christ as a young person. I am glad that you have a heart for Christ.
